Burial will be in Haven of Memories, Canton, Texas.

Mrs. Tharp was born June 18, 1923 in Ben Wheeler, TX, to Winship and Dovie Willoughby Petty.
She was a member of Firs Assembly of God in Wills Point. She grew up in the Ben Wheeler area. As a young woman she moved to Dallas, married and raised her family.
Surviving are Daughter, Gloria & Jim Herriage of Quitman, TX, Son, Donny Tharp of Lawton, OK, Daughter, Karen & Ronnie McKnight of Edgewood, TX, Son, Scott & Joanne Tharp of Royse City, TX, 7 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Great Great-Grandson, Sister, Oleta Braggs of Chandler, TX, Sister, Opal Horton of Sweet Water, TX.
Doris was preceded in death by Husband, Sim Allen Tharp, Father, Winship Petty, Mother, Dovie Petty, Sister, Lois Rector, 2 Brothers: Bob & Bill Petty.
