MOTHER OF CHARLES R. HART DIES AT AGE OF 80
Mrs. Lovie Glenora Hart, a life-long resident of Carroll County, died Wednesday evening, June 16, in Chillicothe at the age of 80 after having been ill for the past two months.
Mrs. Hart was born October 31, 1894, in Carrollton, the daughter of Charles Edgar Bowles and Luella (Trotter) Bowles.
On March 31, 1904, she married Robert Thomas Hart, who preceded her in death on January 5, 1955. They had one daughter, Mrs. Virgil Bunge of Carrollton, and four sons, Vercil Hart of Carrollton, Rev. Cecil O. Hart, formerly of Chula and now of Malta Bend, James M. Hart of Bogard, and Charles R. Hart of 715 Walnut street, who survive.
Other survivors are one brother, R. E. Bowles of Liberty; three sisters, Mr.s Bessie Hart of Norborne, Mrs. Luther Carter of Bogard, and Mrs. Leo Boschert of Carrollton; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hart, a member of the McCroskie Creek Baptist church, spent the last two years of her life in Chillicothe.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, June 18, at 2 o'clock at the Gibson Funeral Home in Carrollton. Rev. Perry P. Taylor conducted the services. Interment was in the Ebenezer Cemetery.
