PITTSFIELD, BERKSHIRE Co., MA - Mrs. Albina Margaret ( Merriam ) Messer ( 76y ) d: November 03, 1975 - a retired private cook, died this morning at Pittsfield General Hospital, unit of BMC, after a brief illness. Mrs. Messer who had lived at 279 Bradford St., was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Rochelo Merriam. She was educated here and worked as a cook in private homes here until she retired in 1957. She moved to Florida in 1959 but returned here in 1973. Her husband, Walter Messer, died in 1969. She is survived by six sons, William L. Messer of Davis, CA., Walter F. Messer of Montreal, Canada, Robert A. Messer of Lanesboro, Gerald L. Messer of Orangevale, CA., and Donald V. Messer and Raymond H. Messer, both of Pittsfield; three daughters, Mrs. Stanley Maska of Davis, Calif., Mrs. Edmund D. Lyons of Pittsfield and Mrs. Albina Howe of Albany, NY.; 70 grandchildren and 26 great - grandchildren. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. jar END:
