MALONE, DR. THOMAS LLOYD, JR. (TOMMY); graduated to heaven Thursday, February 8, 2007. Born January 31, 1946 in Pontiac, MI.
Tom Jr. was a graduate of Emmanuel Christian School. He was called into the preaching ministry at an early age, and was Vice President of Midwestern Baptist College, founded 50+ years ago by his father, Tom Malone, Sr. He also served as a missionary in Scotland. He sang baritone in many well-known quartets. Tom earned his B.R.E., and PhD of Theology from Midwestern Baptist College and his M.A. in Education from the University of Detroit. He also held numerous Honorary Doctorate Degrees. He touched his family and friends with his sweet spirit, tender heart, and warm smile.
Tommy is survived by his four children; Tom Malone III, Joy Tina Cochran, Tammy Anderson, and John Malone; three grandchildren; Hannah Malone, Jordan Cochran, Ashley Anderson and one grandson, Samuel Malone, to be born next week. Also survived by his mother, Joyce Malone, two sisters Joy Paige Smit and Deborah Rydman, five nieces, three nephews, four great nieces and three great-nephews.
Memorials to Midwestern Baptist College Scholarship Fund or Silvercrest Baptist Church would be appreciated.
