The son of William and Elizabeth Foskett

A 23 year old Carpenter from Malden, MA, he enlisted April 20, 1861 and was mustered on July 22, 1861 as a Private. He was appointed Corporal on July 1, 1862 and promoted to Sergeant on Feb. 11, 1863. He was taken prisoner at Batchelder's Creek, NC on Feb. 1, 1864. He died of chronic diarrhea at Andersonville on March 19, 1864.
