Mrs Rebecca Elizabeth Colvard, 90, 1142 Litchfield Ave, East Gadsden, died yesterday at a local hospital after several weeks illness. Funeral services to be tomorrow 2 pm from Collier-Butler Chapel with the Revs Stanley Reaves, David Homan and Ron Fleming officiating. Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.

Survivors: sons, Clarence L Colvard, Altoona, Clude B, Price W and Roy P Colvard Jr, all of East Gadsden, Talmadge P Colvard, Glencoe, Charles L Colvard, Huntsville; daughter, Mrs Ollice M Garmany, East Gadsden, 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, Marie, Wilma, Edna, Ruth, Janice, Virginia Turner; son-in-law, Bill Garmany.

Active pallbearers will be grandsons and Charles Moore.

Mrs Colvard was a native of Franklin County, Ala and a resident of Etowah County for the past 50 years. She was the wife of the late Roy Patrick Colvard Sr and mother of the late Dewey F Colvard, former sheriff of Etowah County from 1959 to 1974. She was a member of East Gadsden Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

The body will remain at the funeral home through the hour of service. The family will receive friends from 3:30 to 9 pm today.
