Alberta was born in Everett, PA. on September 22, 1923, a daughter of the late Daisy (Meck) and Robert Minnick. In 1942 she was united in marriage to the Late Paul D. Brown in Six Mile Run, Mr. Brown preceded her in death on February 28, 2007 after 65 years of marriage. She was a member of Broad Top City United Methodist Church Broad Top City, PA ., Mrs. Brown taught Sunday School for 16 years.
She worked as a Inspector at Seton Saxton until her retirement, She also cleaned the former Mapleton Bank of Broad Top City, worked at Claudia Footwear and was the owner operator of the Blue Room in Broad Top City.
She was a life member of the Huntingdon VFW Post 1754, auxiliary member of the Broad Top City American Legion Post 126, she was a member of the ladies of the community center and a member of the Robertsdale Lions Club and the Saxton Senior Citizens Center.
Alberta is survived by a daughter, Deanna K Jones, of Broad Top City, PA; a son,Galen P. Brown, of Broad Top City, PA, and a daughter-in-law, Deanna J. Brown of Bellwood, PA.
Alberta is also survived by a brother, Richard Minnick, of Dudley, PA.
She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Barry D. Brown. She was also preceded in death by 4 sisters and 5 brothers and a sister-in-law, Beverly A. Brown.
