In 1866 she was united in marriage to Josiah Matley, who passed away in Feb. 1921. After marriage the family made their home in and around Darlington, following the occupation of farming.
Mrs. Matley was the mother of eight children, namely: Mrs. Will Taylor, Mrs. Etta Gossink, Mrs. Will Tredinnick and Emery of Darlington, Wm J. Matley of Lamont, Mrs. John Johnson, Seymour, Mrs. Harry Colbeck of Trosky, Minn., and a son, Roscoe, who died in 1900. Besides these she leaves four sisters, three brothers, twenty eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from the home on Galena street, Friday afternoon, Burial was made in Union Grove cemetery.
