Funeral of G.P. Spear
The Funeral of George P. Spear was held this afternoon in the North Amherst Church. Edwin M. Stanton post, G.A.R., attended in a body. REV. B. F. Gustin offered prayer in the house and conducted the introductory service, after which Com. O.W. Prouty and Chaplain D. H. Bartlett of the post took charge, using the Grand Army Ritual. The bearers were the following members of Mason W. Tyler camps, Sons of Veterans: Francis E Farrar, Darwin E. Owen, Clarence Wood, Dwight E. Owen, Clarence Wood and Dwight H. Slate. Burial was in the North Amherst Cemetery.
