Parenthia Thelma (Yarbrough) Baggett was born on September 5, 1863 in Montgomeery County, Tennessee, the daughter of Joseph Weldon Yarbrough and Mildred "Millie" (Yarbrough) Yarbrough.

She was married on February 22, 1883 in Montgomery County to James "Zedekiah" Carr Baggett (1862-1939).

Parenthia passed away on August 26, 1947 at home in rural Palmyra, Tennessee, and was buried on August 27th in Yarbrough Cemetery.
