Mr. Emrich's ancestors in all probability came from the same parish in Germany as the Gerberichs (Michelrieth), and were in Pennsylvania at almost the same time. No less than twenty-nine families of Emrichs are represented in the 1790 census of Pennsylvania; most of whom resided in Berks and Dauphin (including Lebanon) Counties. Mr. Emrich is a progressive farmer and a practical auctioneer, and lives on the Gerberich homestead near Harpers. [History of the Gerberich Family in America]

21 Nov 1969: Raymond J. Emrich, 90, Annville RD 2, near Harpers, died in the Good Samaritan Hospital Thursday afternoon. He was well known as an auctioneer and farmer. He had been retired from both occupations. He was a bank director of the Jonestown Bank and Trust Company for many years. He and his wife were members of the Walmer's Lutheran Church at Indiantown Gap. His wife, the former R. Gertie Gerberich, preceded him in death. He was the son of the late Henry and Susanna Lutz Emrich. Surviving are three daughters: Sadie, wife of William Keller, and Helen, wife of Ira Shilling, both of Lebanon, and Mrs. Ida Donmoyer, Annville RD 2; two sons, William G. Emrich, Ono, and Ralph H. Emrich, Annville RD 2; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. [Lebanon Daily News]

24 Nov 1969: Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon for Raymond J. Emrich, Annville RD 2, in Walmer's Church, Indiantown Gap. The Rev. A. Philip Strickler, pastor of the Ono United Methodist Church, officiated. He was assisted by the Rev. Roy Limbert, pastor of the Womelsdorf United Church of Christ. Interment was in Walmer's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Larry, Gerald and Daryl Emrich, grandsons of the deceased; Richard and Fred Donmoyer and Jacob Bross. [Lebanon Daily News]
