Jim Thomas, of Slaton, formerly of Wellington, died Tuesday, October 10, 2000.

Thomas was born in Oklahoma City, OK November 10, 1942. In 1961 he graduated from Wellington High School. He moved to Slaton from Lubbock in 1982 and was owner of Thomas Ceramic Tile and a member of the Chain Gang Bowling League.

He was active with church youth at Westview Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church. A member of the First Baptist Church, he was also a member of the Men's Brotherhood and the Men's Downtown Bible Class.

He married Judy Fondy in December 13, 182 in Clovis, NM.

Survivors include his wife, Judy, of the home and three brothers, Bobby, Ray and Glenn Thomas, all of Wellington.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Thomas in 1993.
