Jeremiah Smith Boies Alleyne was the son of Abel Alleyne and Anna {Chase} Alleyne of Milton and Dedham, Norfolk County, Massachusetts

He married Lydia Stedman on December 11, 1825 in Boston, Suffolk County, Mass

A physician for many years in the city of St Louis, Dr Alleyne died at the age of 57, following which his son (and only surviving child) by the same name, also a doctor, returned from New Orleans to St Louis and took over the practice.

Lydia (Stedman) Alleyne was a daughter of Joseph Stedman and Lydia (Dunnell) of Needham, MA. Lydia and Jeremiah's son, Dr. Jeremiah Smith Boles Alleyne, in 1858 m: his cousin, Henrietta L. (Stedman) (FAG#104761070), a daughter of Josiah Stedman, Jr. and his second wife Miriam White (Baxter) of Boston, MA. Joseph Stedman and Josiah Stedman, Jr. were brothers, sons of Josiah Stedman and Hannah (Curtis) of Weston, MA. Josiah Stedman, Sr., "of Weston", along with his brothers, Abijah, Joseph and Ebenezer Stedman, "all of Weston", served in Capt. Samuel Lamson's Co. of Militia, marched to the Alarm in 4/1775.
