Gratiot- William Anchutz, 77, died Friday (Oct. 6, 1972) in a hopsital after a long illness. He married the former Lillian Kornemann in 1938. She died in 1962. Mr. Anschtz lived in Beloit until 1944 when he moved to Illinois. Since 1956 he was employed as a painter carpenter in Gratiot.

Surviving are a son, William Jr., Gratiot; seven daughters, Mrs. Robert Beeler and Mrs. Joseph Beeler, both of Beloit; Mrs. Samuel L. Smith, Monticello, Mrs. Lynn Genthe, Gratiot, Mrs. Walter Foerester, Huntley, Ill., Mrs. James Long, Freeport, Ill., and Mrs. Joseph Upmann, Apple River, Ill.; a stepson, Herbert Barton Jr., Rockford, Ill.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Clyde Halverson, Gratiot; and a brother, Henry, Beloit; 29 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 1:30 pm Monday in the Gratiot Methodist Church. Friends may call after 2 pm Sunday and until Mondya noon at the Stuessy Funeral Home, Monroe, and until services Monay at the church.
