Daughter of John Caudle and Daisy Thompson Caudle, wife of Dow Arthur, mother of Christine, Francis, Charles, and Lucille.
She started her life as an entertainer in her father's traveling show and met Dow Arthur when he joined the show. They were married in 1906 and moved back to Saltillo where the Arthur family lived. She became a wife, mother and nurse. She entertained all her life playing the guitar, banjo, fiddle, piano and other instruments. She worked all her life and was always there not only for her family but anyone in need.
She married a second time in 1959 to John Shugart and he died that same year.
