Mojave resident Passes away
,
Mrs. Magdalena Flores, a long time resident of Mojave, was taken in death at the Tehachapi Valley Hospital in Tehachapi on the morning of October 19, 1963 where she was a surgical patient.
Mrs. Flores, who was born on July 22, 1902 in Phoenix, Arizona, was sixty one years old at the time of her death. She had been a resident of California and Kern County for thirty years.
She made her home at 15848 "N" Street with her husband, Jesus, an employee of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company and their son, Michael.
In addition to her family at home, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Hernandez and Mrs. Lucy Guy, both of Mojave, and three other sons; Edward af Oklahoma; Ralph, of Lancaster; and Jesse of Gilroy, California. She leaves one brother, Patrick, of Los Angeles, and a sister, Sylvia Cortez, also of Los Angeles, as well as 13 grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Stickel Mortuary of Mojave and Rosary was repeated at the St. Francis Church at 7 p.m. on the evening of October 21st and Mass was recited at the church at 10 a.m. on October 22nd with Father L. Byrne officiating with burial in Mojave cemetery.
