He and Electa were parents of Lucy (Franklin), Amos Bruce, Lorenzo D.[who was murdered in Indiana by a notorius criminal, Silas Doty in about 1841], Electa [who died before adulthood] and Oren Stanton, all born in New York State.
After his wife Electa died, he married Lydia Franklin and their children were Lydia Kezia (Bagley) , Sarah Jane (Barker), Julia A.(Barker), Franklin G., Polly M. (Pease) (Marks) and Henry A., who died young.
