Private Graveside Services for Robert Lee Ponthieux were held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 in the Pythian Cemetery in Bunkie under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.
Mr. Ponthieux, age 81, of Bunkie, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Bunkie General Hospital. He was a US Army veteran and a retired assistant supervisor with the City of Bunkie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Mae Dufour Ponthieux; his parents, Evorist and Exza Mayeux Ponthier; two brothers, Frtiz Ponthieux and Ogden Ponthieux and five sisters, Gladys Ducote, Esla Lacombe, Gertrude Bordelon, Barbara Hilton and Gayle Fitzpatrick.
He is survived by his sister, Donna P. Gullett and her husband, Fred "Buck" Gullett, of Cottonport and numerous nieces and nephews.
