Maxine Parker Walraven, 85, passed away on December 30, 2012 in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, January 2, 2013 in Lunn's Colonial Chapel with Minister David McSpadden officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Cemetery under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
Maxine was born October 14, 1927 to Robert and Ella Dee (Floyd) Jinks in Pampa, Texas. Maxine retired from Kmart, where she worked for 27 years in many aspects of store operations. She was a member of First Christian Church. Maxine was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be truly missed by all who knew her. Her favorite hobby was to be working in her yard.
Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Walraven on December 16, 1996; her parents; her step dad, John T. Jenkins who helped raise her; a son, Lyle Elmer Parker, Jr.; two brothers, Robert Tollie Jinks, Jr. and James Edward Jinks; and a step brother, Norman Jenkins. She is survived by her son, Glen Parker and wife Janice of Italy, Texas, a brother, Tommy Jinks and wife Jo of Muleshoe, Texas; five grandchildren, Susan Hohertz and husband Heath, Jay Parker and wife Lindsey, Jeremy Parker and wife Jennifer, Joshua Parker and wife Christon and Jodi Byrd and husband Wayne; twelve great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and her life long friend, Mary Patterson.
The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6-7 PM, for visitation.
