He had one of his own which was also collected after which he telephoned to his mother asking if there was anything which she wanted him to bring home. It is claimed that after this he went to Franklin and has not since been seen and no word has been so far received from him. There never lived in Fayetteville a young man of brighter prospects nor one who more thoroughly had the confidence of the people, and it is feared by those who know of his superior worth that he has met foul play. While in the Fayetteville schools he ranked high in scholarship and since his graduation has been engaged in teaching, a profession for which he had a natural aptitude.
