Charles was a Gauger in the south Texas oilfields working for Southern Minerals, Sun, and later retiring from Koch after 47 years. Charles served his country for three years in the U.S. Air Force. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed farming and ranching at his ranch near Brady, Texas. He and Patricia Auvern Siler were married on July 5, 1952 in Melvin, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Charla Elece Wick; sister Peggy Bowden; and brother Arlas Walter Bedford.
A funeral service will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday Dec. 26, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Karnes City. Interment will follow at 3:30 PM, on Wednesday at the Melvin Cemetery in Melvin, Texas.
