The Rev. Travis W. Siever, 86, Manhattan, KS., former pastor of he Metropolitan Ave United Church, Kansas City, KS (Argentine); Washington Ave Methodist Church, Parsons, KS., died April 21, 1994 in a nursing home in Manhattan. Rev. Siever was pastor of the church in Kansas City, KS, from 1959 to 1961. He was superintendent of the Emporia, KS district of the United Methodist Church from 1961 to 1967. He also was a minister in Broughton, Walnut, Wathena, Holton, Junction City and Manhattan, all in Kansas . He was a minister for 60 years and retired as visitation pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Manhattan.
He graduated from Kansas State Agricultural College in 1930 and also graduated from the Kansas State Agricultural College in 1930 and also graded from Iliff Seminary in Denver, CO. He was born in Alvord, TX.
Survivors include his wife Genevieve Crowley Siever of 60 years; two sons, Richard Siever, Goleta, CA and David Siever, Fort Collins, CO; two sisters, Galvesta Harris, Indianapolis, IN, and Lillian Stanley, Grove, OK; three grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
