Donald James Pease, son of Charles Benham Pease and Clara Alice Petrie was born on 20 Jun 1909 in New York State. He died in a tragic automobile accident in 02 Sep 1975 in Central NYS. He married Eva Elizabeth Kuhn, daughter of Joseph Kuhn and Theresa Thielges on 17 Apr 1933 in Livonia, NY (St Joseph's Church). She was born on 23 Oct 1901. She died on 26 Jan 1969 in Boynton Beach, Palm Beach, Florida (Boynton Beach Hospital). He married Ella Murray, daughter of Dr. J Edward Murray in Aug 1969 in Binghamton, Broome, New York. She died in 1975 from injuries sustained in the car accident with Donald Pease.
Donald James Pease grew up near Cortland, New York. He graduated from Potsdam Normal School, attending also Crane School of Music in Potsdam, NY. While attending, he also competed on the Tennis Team. Donald played the trumpet. He also attended Eastman School of Music, Rochester University, and New York University.
He was a music instructor, Director and a composer of music. He was the Music Director at Leroy Schools for 7 years. Eva Elizabeth Kuhn, also a teacher at Leroy Schools. She graduated from Geneseo Normal School and attended Rochester University. They were married while both instructed at Leroy Schools.
In 1940, Donald Pease accepted a position in Mount Pleasant, NY as a Music Teacher. Three years later, he was drafted into the service: 27 Jul 1943, and discharged 21 Nov 1945 with the rank of Sergeant. In 1955, he and Eva were living in North Tarrytown, NY. Thereafter they made residence in Boynton Beach, FL and maintained a retirement home in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Eva died in January of 1969. Donald's father died at Hendersonville, NC July of that year. August of 1969 Donald married Ella Murray Brooks, a recently widowed also. She had a son, Robert.
On September 2, 1975, Donald and Ella were in a serious car accident while in New York State. Donald James Pease was fatally injured. Ella Murray Brooks Pease died 5 weeks later from injuries.
Donald James Pease was buried in Tully Cemetery, Tully, Onondaga, New York.
