Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer (Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois), Tuesday, July 28, 1931:
   Mrs. Elizabeth Schlueter, wife of Joseph Schlueter, died at her home on the St. Louis Road at 1:15 o'clock this morning. Death was due to complications which followed an illness of eight years.
   Funeral services will be held at the Schlueter home at 8:30 A.M. Thursday followed by services at the St. Elizabeth's Church at Mitchell at 9 o'clock. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Rev. Timothy McKeough will officiate.
   Mrs. Schlueter was born Feb. 29, 1864 on a farm in Edwardsville Township. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Dickman. Mrs. Schlueter lived her entire life in this township. She was a member of the St. Elizabeth's Church at Mitchell.
   Surviving are her husband, Joseph Schlueter, six sons, Walter W. and Aloysius J. Schlueter, Granite City, M. Schlueter, Edwardsville, Carl George, Frank Schlueter of Edwardsville Township, five grandchildren and two brothers, John and William Dickman of Edwardsville Township.

   ...Six nephews served Mrs. Schlueter as pallbearers. They were John, Hilbert, Leonard, Bennett, William and George Dickman...
