Bryan Jay "BJ" Davis, age 31 of Carthage and Smithville native, passed away from this life to the next on Sunday, March 25, 2012 after brief illness in Smithville.
He was a graduate of DeKalb County High School in 1999 and a graduate of Tennessee Technological University in 2004. BJ was a Educator at Smith County Middle School and the Girls and Boys Basketball Coach. He was also a Member of the Elizabeth Chapel Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents, Clayton and Hazel Ray; Paternal Grandfather, Carl Davis. BJ is survived by his Parents, Carl Douglas and Sandra Gail Ray Davis of Smithville; 2 Brothers, Jacob and wife Dana Davis and Jared and wife Kelli Davis both of Smithville; 2 Nieces Kendall and Kloe Davis of Smithville; Paternal Grandmother, Willene Davis of Smithville; The Love of His life, Jennifer Bamford and her daughter, Reese Bamford; Aunts and Uncles, Betty Davis, Edgar Davis, Kenneth and his wife Lisa Ray; A host of Family and Friends.
Funeral Services will be conducted 4PM Thursday at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Bill Robertson officiating and interment to be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday 2PM until 9PM and Thursday 10AM until the time of the service at 4PM.
