Convalescent Home. He was born November 26, 1893, to John Henry and Carolina Hannah Sparks Dayton In Dingle. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints and worked as a rancher all of Life. He married Chloey Estherholdt September 24, 1953. The marriage was solemnized in the LDS Temple March 10; 1966. Survivors include his widow, of Montpelier; one step daughter, Vonda Nelson, Ogden, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; three, sisters, Mrs. Alice C. Hanson, Ogden, Mrs. Nelda Smith, Salt Lake City; and Mrs. Olive Michaelson, Montpelier. Services were held at the Matthews Mortuary Chapel Monday, Jan. 14 a t 11 a. m. with Bp Wade Peterson conducting. Interment was in the Montpelier City Cemetery where Gerald Bischoff dedicated the grave. Pallbearers were J.E. Homer, Alfred J. Bentsen, Henry Hanson, F.C. Bentsen, Dale Nelson, and Dennis Thompson. The Fourth Ward Relief Society took care of the flowers. Henry Hanson gave the family prayer and Mona Petereit played prelude and postlude music Victor Reese gave the opening song with Floyd Bunderson offering the invocation. Bp. Wade Peterson read the obituary and gave remarks Speakers were DeVon Wiser and Dean Hanson. Ruth Kay Andersen sang two solos and Bp. Byron Cammack gave the benediction.
