He was a retired carpenter foreman, who had worked on commercial and industrial projects throughout the state; a member of the Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners, Harrisburg local; attended Christ Wesleyan Church, Milton; and enjoyed hunting, lawn care, gardening and woodworking.
Surviving are his wife, Romaine V. Yeager Herrold; a daughter, Sandra L. Guisewite of Milton; a son, Roy J. of Winfield; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2: 30 p.m. Saturday in Herndon Cemetery.
