Former Juneau resident Maxine Dunker, 73, died Nov. 10, 2006, in Honolulu, Hawaii.

She was born in Carthage, Mo. Her family moved to Juneau in 1964, where she lived for 20 years, until she retired as a legal secretary from the State of Alaska.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Dunker on Nov. 6, 1992.

She is survived by her children and step children, 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; brothers & sisters.

Maxine had been married at an early age to Marvin Eugene Schooler, and there were 4 children born to this union. After this marriage dissolved, she then married Ken Dunker, who she had 3 children with.
