ARTESIA--A funeral for Eloisa Luevano Martinez, 77, of West Washington Avenue, will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with the Rev. Vincent Petersen officiating. Interment will be in San Marcos Cemetery.
A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. today at Terpening and Son Chapel.
Mrs. Martinez died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at home.
Terpening and Son Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Eloisa Martinez was born July 1, 1923, in Artesia to Ambrosio and Sarah Aguilar Luevano.
She married Juan L. Martinez in August 1978 in Artesia. He preceded her in death on March 21, 1995.
Mrs. Martinez was a life-long resident of Artesia. She was a housewife.
She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, a brother and a granddaughter.
Survivors include sons, Johnny Luevano of Roswell, Frank Benavidez of Hobbs, and Sam Luevano, Johnny Martinez and David Martinez of Midland, Texas; daughters, Nancy Losoya and Christina Martinez of Artesia and Sokie Ruiz of Hobbs; brothers, Eliseo Luevano and Joe Luevano of Artesia; sisters, Alice Bass of Snyder, Texas, Elvira Salinas of Las Cruces, Erlinda Perez of Artesia and Frances Garrison of Albuquerque; and 30 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
