Anne Pleasants White, 89,
of Matthews, died Thursday,
April 1, 2004, at her home.
Born Dec. 31, 1914 in Henderson
to the late Rev. Robert
Ashlin and Anne Pleasants
Hopkins White, she was director
of the Nursing School
at Presbyterian Hospital for
32 years.
A member of First
Presbyterian Church and the
International Club of Altrusa,
she was a graduate of Mooresville
Senior High School.
She also graduated from
Converse College, Flora
McDonald College, and she
received her Masters Degree
at Columbia University in
New York.
A sister, Cary Hopkins
White Morris, and a brother,
Robert Ashlin White, Jr., preceded
her in death.
Survivors include five
nephews and one niece.
A graveside service was
held on Sunday, April 4 at
Willow Valley Cemetery, followed
by a memorial service
at First Presbyterian Church
in Mooresville.
