HENRY LOEWE

Mr. Henry Loewe, 77, of Hillsboro died Saturday, November 22, 2003 at a local hospital. He was born October 10, 1926 in Malone, son of Henry William and Wanda A. Muesse Loewe. He had lived in Hill County most of his life and completed high school in the Lovelace community. He served in the United States Marine Corps in World War II. He married Jimmie Ruth Morris October 3, 1949 at the Methodist Church in Covington. He began work in 1952 at Ganus Motor Company, which later became Cole Ford Sales and retired in 1991 after almost 40 years with the company. He was a member of Central Baptist Church of Hillsboro and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was preceded in death by his father; and brothers, Wallace Loewe and Bobby Loewe. Survivors include: his wife; mother, Wanda A. Hamilton of West; two children, Gary D. Loewe of Hillsboro and Sharon Garner and husband, Neil, of Austin; one brother, Dick Loewe of Dallas; and three grandchildren. Services were held Monday, November 24, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Weldon Barnard officiating. Interment followed at Covington Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Heart, P.O. Box 2081, Whitney 76692.
