MUNCIE--Anita K. Conn, 31, the Lord took her to see her father and brother, unexpectedly Tuesday morning, October 18, 2011 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.

She was born on August 6, 1980 in Muncie, the daughter of Bruce and Diane (Walburn) Beard, graduated from Southside High School in 1999, and attended Ivy Tech School of Nursing.

Anita was employed as a CNA at Muncie Health and Rehabilitation Center, previously she had been employed in the CCU Unit at Ball Memorial Hospital, Hoosier Pete on 28th Street, BB Celebration Center, and DOTS Clothing Store.

She enjoyed spending time at the family lake cottage, camping, boating, swimming, rummaging, shopping, and spending time with all her loving family, friends, husband, and son.

Surviving besides her mother are her husband, Matthew; her son, Nazareth; her goddaughter; her in-laws, Jimetta and Steve Bales; her grandparents, Dora and Warren Walburn and Joe and Sandy Greer; several uncles, aunts, cousins, brothers, and sister; and her dogs, Maddox, Roxy, Jewel, Molly, Nibbles, Buddy, and Zags.

She was preceded in death by her father, and her brother, Chad Beard.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2011 in The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will follow in Yorktown Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary from 3-7 p.m. on Friday or one hour prior to services on Saturday.
