She was born on September 26, 1952. Diane was surrounded by her loving families of friends; some who knew her since childhood and others who went through school with her children and were still very close to her.
She was a lifelong resident of Muncie and graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1971. After high school Diane graduated from Amber's Beauty School and worked mostly out of her home. Later she worked at Northside Middle School in the cafeteria.
Diane loved spending time at her lake cottage with friends. She loved flea markets and garage sales, soap operas and reality shows. She spent time with friends dining out or playing bingo or cards.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Dorabelle "Dodi" (Sherwood) and Warren Walburn, also of Muncie; her husband, Bruce Beard; and both of her children, Chad Alan Beard and Anita Kay Beard.
She is survived by a brother, Robert Walburn of Missouri. She will be deeply missed by her friends and her beloved dog, Molly Jo.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will follow in Yorktown Cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the mortuary.
