Published in the Lockhart Post Register on Aug 22, 1974 MRS REBA LUCILE CHAPMAN Mrs. Reba Lucile Chapman, 76, a housewife, died August 18 at 5:45 p.m. in Brackenridge Hospital, Austin. Reverend Donnie Melton conducted funeral services on August 21 at 2 p.m. in the McCurdy Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Lockhart Cemetery. Mrs. Chapman moved across Texas in a covered wagon and devoted her life to her husband, children, and grandchildren. Born September 15, 1897, in Whitewright, she was the daughter of William A. Dunlap and Mattie Holmes (Ball) Dunlap. She came to Travis County 38 years ago. She was married to Herff Chapman in Fort Worth on June 25, 1931. She was a member of the Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, of Austin; two sons, William A. Chapman of Fountain Valley, California, and Henry W. Chapman of Austin; two daughters, Mrs. Norma Skinner of San Antonio, and Mrs. Mildren Freitag of Austin; nine grandchildren; and two brothers, Oscar Dunlap of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and T. L. Dunlap of Littlefleld.
