Muriel Adalue "Mamaw" Bane, 98, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011.

Born Dec. 21, 1912, she lived many years in Rockwood. She was a member of Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Bane; a son, Bill Green Sr.; and a grandson, Danny Green.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Nancy Green, Hendersonville; five grandchildren, Linda and Charlie Neal, Knoxville, Judy and Joe Brennan and Bill Green Jr., all of Hendersonville; eight great-grandchildren, April Keith, Jessica Green, Lisa and Mark Cawley, Joey and Yvonne Brennan, Jason and Lauren Brennan; and six great-great-grandchildren, Dani and Sara Cawley, Hannah and Finley Brennan, Tanner and Justin Brennan.

The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, in Beaver Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Funeral service followed, with Thomas Sweet officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, at Clapps Chapel Cemetery on Emory Road, Corryton, for burial at noon. Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
