She was born July 10, 1916, in Elwood and was a 1934 graduate of Elwood High School.
On July 12, 1940, she married Ralph C. Arbuckle.
Martha was a homemaker, who also worked at Guide Lamp in Anderson for five years, and later worked at the R.L. Leeson Department Store in Elwood for several years.
She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Elwood, where she was active in the United Methodist Women. She was also formerly a member of the Child Study Club and the Lady Elks in Elwood. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar D. and Rena Mae (Hughes) Tubbs; her husband, Ralph C. Arbuckle; and brothers, Cedric Tubbs and Byron and his wife, Delores Tubbs.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with the Rev. Jim Nickles officiating. Burial will take place at Elwood City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
