Oliver Meade Boarts, 91, of Kittanning RD 1, died at 12:05 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, 1982, at Sugarcreek Rest, Worthington RD 1. Born in Kittanning Township Jan. 2, 1891, he was a son of Edward and Sarah (Wright) Boarts.

He was a farmer in Kittanning Township, a member of the Whitesburg United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the I.O.O.F. 766 of Rural Valley.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Josephine) Reinauer of East Hanover, N.J., Mrs. Richard (Loretta) Enterline of Greensburg and Mrs. James (Martha) Ford Jr of Kittanning; one son, Harold E. Boarts of Kittanning RD 1; one sister, Mrs. Calvin (Mina) Dunmire of Kittanning; one brother, Perry Boarts of Ford City RD 1; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Belle (Peters) Boarts, who died in 1944; a son, Deloris (Christy) Boarts, who died Dec. 23, 1981; two grandchildren and seven sisters.

BOARTS - Friends of Oliver Meade Boarts, 91, of Kittanning RD 1, who died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1982, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Roy W. Carson Funeral Home in Rural Valley, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Whitesburg United Methodist Church, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with his pastor, the Rev. William N. Headley, officiating. Burial will be in the Whitesburg Cemetery. Arrangements by Carson.
