Carl Brewster, 82, of Pilgrim Knobs, died Sunday, May 24, 2009 at Buchanan General Hospital.
Born February 28, 1927 in McDowell Co., WV. he was the son of the late Byrd and Carrie Brewster. He served in the US Navy and was a former coal miner.
In addition to his parents, he was prededed in death by his son, Johnny Ralph Brewster; four brothers, John Patton Brewster, Clyde Brewster, George Brewster and Fred Brewster; and four sisters Hattie Mullins, Della Stiltner, Malinda Jane Brewster, and Mary Magealene Brewster.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jeanette Brewster; two sons, Tommy Brewster and wife Deborah, and Jerry Brewster and wife Jackie; three daughters, Debbie Riordan and husband Charlie, Donna Yates and husband Wendy and Sherry Wagner and husband, Tim; daughter-n-law, Betty Brewster, eight grandchildren, James Brewster, Jeremy Brewster, Amanda Dye, John Brewster, Shawna Rose and husband, Chad Rose, Richard Riordan and wife, Angie, Melissa Riordan, Kris Yates and wife Ida and Kayla Wagner; two Great-grandchildren, Travis Riordan and Cecilia Yates; one sister, Florence Blankenshiph and husband Ersel; and special friend, Charlie Kelley.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday May 26 at Buchanan Funeral Services, Keen Mountain, with Pastor Charles Hubbard officiating. Burial followed in the Esaw Rife Cemetery, Keen Mountain.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers were4 Dr. Heresha Patel and Dr. Dan Patel.
Buchanan Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
