Jeanette Davis Brewster, 91 years of age, of Pilgrims Knob, VA, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Russell County Hospital in Lebanon. Born August 31, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Myrtle Stiltner Davis.
Jeanette was a member of Crystal Block Church at Dismal, VA. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking meals for her family. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Matthew and Myrtle Davis, she is preceded in death by her husband Carl Brewster; daughter Donna Marie Yates; son Johnny Ralph Brewster; sisters Loretta Dawson, Shirley Keen, Nell Church, Joyce Ann Davis; and brothers Dewey Davis, Ray Davis and William Davis.
Survivors include daughters Debra Sue Riordan of Pilgrims Knob, VA, Sherry Anita Wagner and husband Tim of Pilgrims Knob, VA; sons Tommy Harold Brewster and wife Debbie of Bristol, TN, Jerry Dean Brewster and wife Jackie of Paintlick, VA; sister Ruby Beebe of FL.
She is also survived by grandchildren Jamie Brewster, Richard Riordan, Chris Yates, Jeremy Brewster, John Brewster, Melissa Lester, Shawna Rose, Amanda and Kayla Dye; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews including special nephew who was like a son Keith Keen.
Funeral services for Jeanette Davis Brewster will be held at Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home of Keen Mountain, VA, Monday September 4, 2023, at 12:00 noon with Pastor Joey Proffitt and Pastor Joe Bill Proffitt officiating. Burial to follow at Esau Rife Cemetery, Keen Mountain, VA.
Active pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, September 3, 2023, after 6:00 pm with evening service to follow at 7:00 pm.
