William Martin Bockius, aged 75 years, died this morning at his residence in Shenango township from the effects of a stroke, which he suffered last Thursday morning. He was born in Washington township January 27, 1848, the son of John and Elizabeth Martin Bockius. He has resided in Lawrence county practically his entire life and has been a farmer by occupation. His wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Bockius, prededed him in death twenty-five years ago. He is survived by the following children: Wiliam S.A., Frances, Mrs. Sara Conlin, Pittsburgh, Mrs. Mary D. Stadler, Pittsburgh, John, McKeesport and Montgomery Bockius.


Son of John D. Bockius (1818-1886) and Elizabeth (Martin) Buckius (b. 1828).
