He was born in Washington township January 27, 1848, the son of John and Elizabeth Martin Bockius. He has resided in Lawrence county practically his entire life and has been a farmer by occupation. His wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Bockius, prededed him in death twenty-five years ago. He is survived by the following children: Wiliam S.A., Frances, Mrs. Sara Conlin, Pittsburgh, Mrs. Mary D.
