Stella Anna Lee Burton Bentley, 82, of Riner, died Friday, May 9, 2003. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter Q. Bentley, Sr.; her parents, Claude & Blanche Burton; her two precious daughters, Rosa Lee Duncan and Betty Jane Parks; a sister, Mary Blevins; and brothers, Gilmer, Howard and Fred Burton and a very special friend, David Phillips. She is survived by her loving family; a son & daughter-in-law, Walter Quinton, Jr. & Betty Bentley, Christiansburg; a daughter, Dolly Bentley of Riner; a daughter & son-in-law, Velva & Eddie AJtizer, Salem; grandchildren & their spouses, Rex & Bonnie Bentley of Riner, Steve & Pam Bentley of Greeneville, TN, Theresa & Forest Hinkley of Riner, Dan & Lynn Bentley, Brad & Marie Bentley, all of Pilot, Tom & Mary Bentley of Christiansburg, Cathy & Ralph Collins of Floyd, Tammi & Richard Sutphin of Christiansburg and Sonja & Craig Reed of Floyd; 17 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter. Many nieces and nephews and her special friends at Heritage Hall also survive. Special thanks to the Rev. Lee Sarver and all those who took such special care of her in her final days. Stella was a very special person who was a true blessing to all those who knew her. She will be greatly missed and we all look forward to seeing her again in our heavenly home. A funeral was held. Monday, May 12, 2003 at the Walton Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Lee Sarver officiating. Burial followed in Highland Memory Gardens. DeVilbiss Funeral Home, Radford, is handling arrangements.
