Mrs. Louise B. Barton, 87, of Duncanville, wife of the late Thomas Edward Barton, Sr. went home to our Lord on Thursday, December 25, 2008.
Funeral Services will be held at First United Methodist Church of Duncanville, Monday, December 29, 2008 at 1:00 with the Reverend Sheri Hollingsworth officiating.
Interment will follow at Little Bethel Cemetery in Duncanville.
Mrs. Barton was the daughter of the late Floyd and Rosalie Baxter.
A graduate of the University of the Ozarks, she became a teacher and librarian and had a career she loved that spanned over 30 years.
She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society.
As a member of First United Methodist Church of Duncanville for 45 years, she was active in the Star Circle of the United Methodist Women.
Her love of books prompted her to begin and maintain the church library for 30 years.
She touched the lives of many people, young and old alike.
Mrs. Barton was preceded in death by brothers James and Andrew Baxter and sisters Alzada B. Powers and Marie B. Maxwell.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Sunday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. David Clayton & Sons Funeral Home, 200 West Center Street, Duncanville, TX 75116.
