She was born June 7, 1902, near Ashland, the daughter of Harry A. and Florence Codington Stribling. She married Reuben R. Boynton in 1922; he died in 1982. Two sons, Stribling A. and Joseph C. Boynton, also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Boynton graduated from Ferry Hall in Lake Forest and National Park College in Forest Glen, Md. She was a member of Peter Cartwright United Methodist Church in Pleasant Plains, Mary Lawrence Circle of King's Daughters, PEO Sisterhood Chapter BF and Illini Country Club.
Survivors: five grandchildren, Stribling P. Boynton of High Point, N.C., Mary Jo Boynton of Harvard, Mass., Elizabeth Bunn Boynton and David Bunn Boynton, both of Scottsdale, Ariz., and John Bunn Boynton of Portland, Ore.; and six great-grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Jay Dement officiating. Interment: Pleasant Plains Cemetery.
