Joseph C. Boynton, 65, of Sedona, Ariz., formerly of Springfield, died Friday in Scottsdale, Ariz. He was born in Pleasant Plains, the son of Reuben R. and Ruth S. Boynton. He was preceded in death by a brother, Stribling.
Mr. Boynton graduated from Lake Forest Academy in Lake Forest and attended the University of Illinois. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epslion Fraternity. He was a coffee distributor in Phoenix, Ariz.
Surviving are his wife, Sally H.; three sons and two daughters; five grandchildren; and mother, Ruth S. Boynton of Springfield.
Services at Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. John Hood officiating. Burial in Pleasant Plains Cemetery.
