Sharon Elaine (Pollard) Sunday, 55, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Eufaula, died July 20, in Oklahoma City.
Funeral services were held July 25, at the First Christian Church with Rev. Jewel Barrett officiating.
A eulogy was given by Ed David.
Burial was at Lenna Cemetery under the direction of Black's, Shipman & Merit Funeral Home, Eufaula.
Casket bearers were Bill Shackleford, T. Max Nelson, Pete Pollard, Ken Van Treese, Ron Kuykendall, and Larry Stogner.
Honorary bearers were Lynn Gossard, David Nelson, Todd Nelson, David Willimon, Butch Coleman, Tom Shroyer, Bud McCombs, Mac Harris and Mike Wendell.
Mrs. Sunday was born November 7, 1948, the daughter of Hoyt Haskell and Myrtle Allen Pollard. She grew up and attended school in Eufaula.
She graduated from Eufaula High School in 1963.
She married Bill Sunday on December 2, 1967 in Eufaula.
She attended Conner's State College, graduating with an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts.
They lived in Lawton and Tulsa before returning to Eufaula where they lived ten years.
They move to Oklahoma City in 1991. While in Eufaula, she was very active in the Band Boosters serving as president for several years and was a softball coach. She attended the First Christian Church in Eufaula.
She is survived by her husband, Bill of the home; her mother, Myrtle Pollard of Eufaula; two daughters, Gayle Cardwell and husband Mark of Okarche and Robin Sunday of Oklahoma City; one son Steven Sunday of Oklahoma City, two grandchildren, Taylor and Ty Cardwell of Okarche; one brother, Curtis Pollard of Stillwell, Kansas.
She is preceded in death by her father and one brother Fred Pollard.
