Frederick Michaels was born Jan 24,1796, Augusta Co Va. He died at his home near Raritan, ILL Oct 12,1888. He was united in marriage to Polly Bowman March 15,1819. They had 12 children, Six of whom are still living. After 26 yrs of married life, death claimed the wife, who died September 16,,1845. In Dec 1846 he married Charolotte R. Courtney, who survives him. To them were born four children, all deceased.
