SANFORD – Donald W. Bernier, 57, died Friday at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Sanford on October 22, 1950, a son of Raymond J. and Hope (Knox) Bernier Letourneau.
He graduated from Sanford High School, class of 1971. He then served his country in the U.S.A.F. from 1971 to 1980.
Due to illness, he retired in June 2006 from Thompson Center Arms in Rochester, NH.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond J. Bernier Sr. and one brother, Robert P. Bernier.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Priscilla ‘Pat' Bernier of Acton; his mother, Hope (Knox) Bernier Letourneau of Sanford; four brothers, Richard D. Bernier of Tucson, AZ, Raymond J. Bernier of Phoenix, AZ, Michael R. Bernier and Mark L. Bernier both of Sanford; two sisters, Linda Chesley and her husband, Frank of Sanford, Donna Jones and her husband, Don of Millbury, MA; one stepson, Frederick Westgate of MA, and one stepdaughter, Lisa Lambert and her husband, Patrick of Sanford.
