In the Village of Cato on Wednesday,
August 11, 1909, Miss Martha J. Allen
passed peacefuily away at the home of
her niece, Mrs. Frank Casey. She was
the daughter of the late Rufus and
Maria Hubbard Allen, and is survived
by one s sister, Mrs. Harmon B. Waggoner,
three nieces, Mrs. W. A. Hunter,
Mrs. Frank Casey, Mrs. Clinton E.
Turner, Five nephews, Frank and Charles
Allen of Tamaqua, Pa., Lucius Allen of
St. Paul, Minn., Harry Allen of Denver,
Col., Dr. Thurlo Reed, surgeon in U. S.
Navy, stationed in California. She was
a life-long resident of Cato and by her
kindly manner endeared herself to all
who knew her. Miss Allen was in her
67th year. The funeral services were held at the
home of Frank Casey Friday afternoon,
Rev. Howell Davies of"the Presbyterian
church officiating.
