I've got the Best Family in the whole world.
Wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away July 13, 2007. He was born March 24, 1919 in Declo, Idaho, to Elmer and Mary Isabell Penrod.
Ellwood's life on earth will be remembered through his wisdom, kindness, hard work, courage, faith, love, wonderful stories and sense of humor. He was also known for his gardening skills. He loved working in his garden and in the soil. He felt that "working the soil of earth put you in the hands of God." He was loyal in his love and devotion to family and friends.
Ellwood married Norma Jean Nelson March 2, 1948, in the Idaho Falls Temple. They celebrated 59 years together, raising seven children, 19 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served two service missions in Utah County with Norma, his wife, as his companion. May God bless him and welcome him home.
