Mrs. Ola Falls Pruette, 92, of White Oak Manor and formerly of Grover, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, at White Oak Manor.

A native of York County, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Thomas Henry and Susan Carroll Falls. She was a member of Shiloh Presbyterian Church of Grover, where she was an elder. She was also a member of DAR and United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was a retired seamstress.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Murray Council Pruette Sr.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, M.C. Jr. and Joanne Pruette of Kings Mountain; one daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and George Anton of Lake Park; three brothers, Herbert Falls and George Falls, both of Kings Creek, S.C., and John Falls of Columbia, S.C.; six sisters, Avalona Hembree of Taylors, S.C., Pansy Julian of Anderson, S.C., Veda Garrison and Dorthea Martin, both of Greenville, S.C., Frances Pennington of Gaffney, S.C., and Esther Holiday of Six Miles, S.C.; three grandchildren, Sharon Chapman and husband, Tim, of Kings Mountain, Jenifer McCachren and husband, Steve, of Shelby, Andrea Whitesides and husband, Tim, of Gastonia; and three great grandchildren.

Burial will be in Grover Cemetery.
